PRAYER ALERT: Pray for our persecuted family this Easter

As has been for many years, Easter and Ramadan continue to be times of extreme danger for our persecuted family. This year, the two events overlap, increasing the risk for our family.

In a time meant to be a reminder of restoration and revival, Easter is a time when many persecuted Christians face violence and an increased risk of attacks on churches. In Muslim dominated regions or countries, many who observe Ramadan expect Christians to also fast and pray. If they don’t, they may be persecuted.

Despite being bombarded by the threat of being attacked, they soldier on in faith, knowing that “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12

Let us join in one spirit and pray for our persecuted family during this time.

Prayer points:

• Pray for our families on the World Watchlist 2022. Many of them are likely to experience increased persecution during Easter and continued persecution during Ramadan.
• Pray for protection for brothers and sisters coming together to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
• Pray for peace for those in our family who mourn for their lost loved ones and yearn for comfort so that they may be reminded that “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.” Psalm 116:16
