Egypt: Alarming signs of instability – please pray!

Please pray for the country of Egypt as anxiety and hopelessness grip the hearts of many Egyptians due to the dire economic situation of the country, as well as a growing sense of instability.

The Egyptian government is currently discussing the enforcement of new tax laws and economic measures, in order to deal with the country’s exorbitant international and national debt. These developments have a negative impact on food prices and living costs, causing it to sky rocket.

There are also suspicions that radical groups are smuggling and storing large quantities of certain food supplies, like sugar – which creates food shortages – to instigate rage and discontent toward the government and President Al-Sisi. Moreover, the Muslim Brotherhood is urging, via social media, that the Egyptian people to revolt against the current regime on the 11th of November.

Pray that the Lord will deliver Egypt from the grip of anxiety and hopelessness, that all evil and corruption will be exposed, and that the Egyptian Church will remain strong in the strength of the Lord.
