Christmas around the world

In many countries around the world, Christians face various atrocities for their faith in Jesus. Male, female, young and old, in countries where Christians are persecuted for their faith, it doesn’t matter your gender or age – if you serve Jesus, you risk being harassed, rejected and even killed.

Bijli* (10) comes from a Muslim family in Bangladesh, who converted to Christianity. The family faces persecution daily and Bijli faces bullying at school because she’s a follower of Jesus. Bijli’s mother, Maya*, explains that sometimes Bijli comes home crying because her “friends” have attacked her. “Bijli comes and says, ‘Mother, they’ve beaten me. They say we are Christian. They don’t allow us to join with them.’”

Thankfully, Bijli has her brother Mohon* (5) to play with. “But she can’t play with the Muslim children,” Maya says.

To support families like Bijli’s so they can have a safer future, we’re launching our “Christmas around the world” campaign today from November-December 2020. Our desire is that every persecuted family around the world may experience the comfort and joy of the love of Jesus this Christmas and all year round by reaching a R1 984 000 goal.

Please join us in prayer during this campaign – that God will protect our persecuted family as they face heightened persecution leading up to Christmas. Pray also that God will help meet the Christmas around the world” campaign goal so that our persecuted family can receive the protection, care and support they need to thrive.

Thank you for praying!
