Thank you for helping Philip bring healing to his community.

Philip is a 27-year-old pastor from a small village in the eastern region of Bangladesh.

This community has very limited facilities – there is no electricity, hospital or school. Philip shares,

“I have seen people die without treatment even for simple diseases, like malaria, diarrhoea and women dying in childbirth. Many people died on the way to the hospital since it takes a long time to get there.”

When Philip shared his concerns for his community, his senior pastor suggested that Philip should train as a rural doctor. He was given this training with support from Open Doors, thanks to the prayers and generosity of people like you.

As well as meeting the desperate need for medical care in his community, Philip’s training has also helped him to build relationships with those who don’t know Jesus.

“I visit the nearby Buddhist villages often, to serve them. I always pray and ask my patients to pray with me before I start my work. I encourage them to depend on Jesus Christ instead of depending on me, and I tell them of the miraculous works of Jesus Christ,” Philip says.

Thank you for your part in bringing hope and healing to the people in Philip’s remote community.

And thank you for any gift you are led to give today to help others like him share the good news of the Gospel with those who have never heard.

Gifts are allocated to where most urgently needed across the globe – thank you!
