Help persecuted children in India know they’re never alone

More and more children in India are being beaten, humiliated and ostracised for their faith in Jesus in their school and community. In the worst cases, they have been raped and even killed.

For 11-year-old Saree*, her faith meant she was kicked out of her home and denounced by her family. She shared…

“My brother and father yelled, ‘Since you keep going to church, we will punish you!’ They beat and kicked me badly and shouted, ‘Leave Jesus!’ I told them, ‘I won’t leave Him.’ Then they gave me some clothes and pushed me out the door. My father said, ‘You are not my daughter anymore.’”

Saree now lives with her Christian aunt, but she can’t go to school. Though her faith is strong, she says she sometimes thinks about leaving Jesus because she misses her family.

As persecution in India spreads, more Christian children like Saree struggle with feeling conflicted, depressed and alone. And they need our support.

That’s why your support of Open Doors’ Next Generation projects is so critical. These initiatives focus on children and teenagers across India – to lead them to Jesus, disciple them and equip them to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Thank you for your gift below to help ensure these precious children feel loved and supported. Together, we can make sure they know they’re not alone!
