You’re empowering believers like Meena and Sunita

Meena* and Sunita* were severely beaten and kicked out of their village in India two years ago, because of their Christian faith. Despite all the hardship, they’ve remained committed to Christ, thanks to the support of friends like you.

“I know the names of those who persecuted and beat us,” said Sunita. “I pray for them.”

Amazingly, some of those who attacked the women have since apologised and changed their attitudes toward Meena and Sunita.

“God has rewarded [the] prayers and faithfulness… from people inside and outside of India. We recognise the importance of those prayers,” said Meena.

Meena and Sunita’s transformation is remarkable. When Open Doors first met them through local church partners, they were still in shock. Now, every word they speak sparks with joy – thanks to your prayers and generosity.

In partnership with local churches, you also help make it possible for them to share their story at seminars that prepare Christians for persecution – to strengthen others facing persecution.

“God has been so loyal,” said Meena. “Through His provision, we have a shop where we can earn our own income… we can provide for other believers too…. Most of all, we’ve gained a worldwide family that looks after us. Thanks to your prayers and support, our lives are so much better.”
