“The enemy does not rest, and the spiritual battle grows ever more intense.” – Matian*, Open Doors local partner, Southwest China

In places like China and Laos, secret churches worship in the shadows.

Hearts race at every sound, knowing a raid means arrests, which could lead to prison.

Matian, a local partner serving the underground Church, shared the urgent message that more than 10 church co-workers were recently detained and questioned because of their faith. And they’re not alone.

Across China, Christians and church leaders continue to face increasing restrictions, including surveillance, interrogations, church raids and even imprisonment.

SUPPORT TODAY

But despite intense pressure on underground churches, something remarkable is happening…

The Church is growing!

Through your support, partners like Matian are strengthened to visit, disciple and pray with Christians facing persecution – offering training, practical aid, comfort and renewed hope.

This helps believers stand strong and grow deeper in God’s Word, even in the face of great risk.

HELP THE UNDERGROUND CHURCH

Will you support the Church under pressure?

  • Every R 455 could give practical, medical, legal and pastoral support to an underground believer.
  • Every R 680 could train underground believers to persist through persecution and support others.
  • Every R 1 085 could build future underground churches through a youth leadership programme.
HERE’S MY GIFT

Seeing the fruit of our people-to-people ministry is touching. God is using Open Doors to come alongside village believers.” – Matian, South West China

Monthly gifts will go to where most needed.

For once-off gifts, any excess funds for this appeal will be used to support persecuted Christians where the need is greatest.
