She has a name and a voice. But for how long?
Christian women in dangerous places are risking everything to stay faithful.
Ariana*, an Afghan Christian, knows her brother will kill her if she ever returns home.
Why?
Because she follows Jesus.
Ariana is not alone. Christian women around the world are at risk of being erased. Silenced. Dehumanised and persecuted – targeted for both their faith and their gender. Their faith can make them invisible in the very places they once belonged.
But like the story of Hagar in the Bible reminds us, being unseen by the world does not mean being unseen by God.
Mistreated, alone and uncertain of her future, God met her in the wilderness. Not with condemnation, but with compassion. And she gave Him a name:
El Roi – “the God who sees me”.
That same truth sustains women like:
ZAKIE*
“For me, Jesus is Lord, Saviour, and Healer. Jesus is everything to me. What gives me hope is that I have found the living God, and that the living God has taken a place in my heart and that I have an eternal life.

BEATRIZ*
“Every meeting is a victory, not because we are strong, but because God sustains us… My prayer is that they [these women] remain faithful to Jesus until the day He calls them home. That they be women filled with the Holy Spirit, who share their faith with others and become the foundation of a strong church in this town that so desperately needs one.

NGOC*
“God is good all the time. And I will trust in Him forever. He knows my heart and needs. He will give me the best things according to His will. Just like what I have experienced. I encourage others to trust in God until His second coming. He will save us, just as He saved me.”
You can help us reach and empower persecuted Christian women to live out Christ in dangerous places – through trauma care, discipleship, training, and spiritual support – helping them survive, heal, and share the Gospel in the world’s most hostile places.
You can continue to share their stories of courageous faith.
Because while the world may try to erase them, the God who met Hagar in the wilderness still sees His daughters.
