Bible-giving campaign

Be a part of their story.

Around the world, Christians are facing significant challenges. It’s vital that Christians have access to God’s Word, and are trained to understand it – to help them grow in faith.

Millions of Christians need your help to read and understand God’s Word.

Open Doors has been helping persecuted Christians access God’s Word since 1955, when our founder, Brother Andrew, first smuggled Bibles to Christians living behind the Iron Curtain. For 70 years, this has been part of our DNA: to bring Scriptures to believers who risk everything to follow Jesus.

Every Bible given to a persecuted Christian equals a changed life. A disciple who will make disciples. Right now, you can empower Christians with the gift of God’s Word and discipleship resources – and be part of their story.

Will you give a gift to bring God’s Word and the training to understand it to a persecuted Christian?

Every R180 puts a Bible into the hands of a waiting persecuted believer and helps them to grow in their faith. Please help now?

“How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” – Romans 10:14

Romi: Empowered by God’s Word

Growing up in Malaysia, Romi always heard that he was a Christian. But he had no idea what that meant. There was no church in his village, and his mother’s Bible wasn’t in her native tongue. It was years until Romi finally heard the truth about Jesus and received a Bible in his language. An Open Doors’ partner came to his village and lived with them, teaching the Bible to them. “Now we know how to pray and share what we learned from the Bible,” Romi says.

Wesley: Equipped to stand strong

Wesley grew up in rural Malaysia, believing in the power of spirits that resided in nature. He was 17 when he attended his first church service and, in his words, “felt the presence of God”. But he still didn’t know who Jesus was. Soon after, he connected with an Open Doors local partner who shared about a training programme for students to help them grow in their faith. That’s where Wesley learned to read the Bible and developed a strong foundation. “My life was transformed after knowing the truth about Jesus,” he says.

Open Doors: Supporting Christians where faith costs the most

For over 70 years, Open Doors has helped Christians facing discrimination and persecution because of their Christian faith. Our mission is to strengthen believers by providing practical aid, spiritual support, Biblical training, advocacy instruction – whatever is needed to “strengthen what remains” (Rev. 3:2). That’s the vision that God gave our founder, Brother Andrew (better known as “God’s Smuggler”), and it’s the same vision that drives us today.

Join us in standing with persecuted Christians and bringing hope to those who need it most.

*Should this campaign become fully funded, we will apply your gift where the need is greatest.
