This year marks a significant milestone – 70 years of our Open Doors International walking in faith and service for persecuted family all to the glory of God. We’re grateful for every step and every person who has been part of the journey.
As we look back with gratitude, we also look ahead with purpose. Here’s what’s happening this quarter and how you can continue to be part of the story.
70 Years of Impact
The 15 July marked 70 years since Open Doors started. Seventy years of strengthening what remains and is about to die by faithfully serving, constantly praying and taking action to support our persecuted family in Christ. None of this would be possible without partners like you, who’ve supported and prayed with us for all these years.
We invite you to pause and mark this milestone with us by watching a short video and reading an article on 70 years of smuggling Bibles.
Spiritual focus
Time of Lament
July 2025 – January 2026
This time of lament is an invitation to reflect, grieve and pray in response to what is happening to our family in sub-Saharan Africa.
You don’t need to sign up for this. As our partner, you will receive a monthly Time of Lament email with reflections, Scripture and prayer points.

Join our Youth WhatsApp Channel
We’ve created a space just for young people to inspire them to live boldly for Jesus, while learning from and standing with young, persecuted Christians around the world.
Please invite the young people in your church, school or community to join the channel to receive:
- Real-life stories of courage and faith
- Prayer and action challenges
- Faith-building content
- Opportunities to make a difference
Thank you for your continued presence, prayer and support for our persecuted family.
We all need prayer so please let us pray for you too. Feel free to email or WhatsApp us with any prayer requests that are on your heart. We want to stand in prayer with you and for you.
