It was after Pentecost that the persecution of the early Church started, and it was then that the Gospel of Christ started to spread… “At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem… Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.” (Acts 8: 1&4)
On 12 June we will be thinking of those who’ve stood on the frontlines of our faith throughout the ages. Come and be encouraged and challenged in your walk with Jesus as we remember our persecuted family, who bear witness to Christ no matter the cost.
There are three ways in which you can be involved:
Be a voice for those in our family of faith who are unable to speak up for themselves, by being a volunteer speaker in your own church on Persecution Sunday.
Complete the form below to invite one of our speakers to your church on the morning of 12 June, on Persecution Sunday, to share more about our persecuted family’s sacrifices for our faith.
The online events will be presented in English, Zulu or Afrikaans. There will also be a special session for children of all ages.
For your convenience we are making the online events available for viewing any time between 09:00 and 21:00 on Sunday, 12 June.
