Gift 8: Take action by supporting violently persecuted believers
R150.00 – R970.00
Today, take action by supporting violently persecuted believers with your gift today that can give them access to fellowship and encouragement, help protect girls by educating them or provide a believer with relief, and legal aid and visits when persecution strikes.
Description
As believers, we share the same faith in Jesus Christ, where differences in language, ethnicity, or borders are broken. Although we share the same faith, our lives and freedoms are different. In countries on the Open Doors World Watch List, believers face violent persecution where they’re beaten, tortured in prison and even murdered for believing in Christ and sharing the Gospel.
As one body, we’re responsible for one another and called to stand with one another when we face trials. We’re reminded in Hebrews 13:3 (ESV): “Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.”
Today, take action by supporting violently persecuted believers with your gift today that can give them access to fellowship and encouragement, help protect girls by educating them or provide a believer with relief, and legal aid and visits when persecution strikes.
R150 could give 30 believers in dangerous areas access to an online platform for fellowship and encouragement.
R300 could help protect five girls by educating them about kidnapping and forced marriage.
R970 could provide one believer with relief, and legal aid and visits when persecution strikes.
