Latifa* was 26 years old when she became a Christian. Like many Muslims who become Christians in North Africa, she was kicked out of the house by her father.

Now 42, she and her husband have endured a lot of pressure and persecution from her Muslim family, especially her mother’s fundamentalist family.
“I received death threats from my cousins. They beat up my husband or sent others to do it. Whenever he found a job, they asked the owner to fire him…,” she shared.

“When we rented a house, they went to landlords to evict us, adding that we were a target and could be killed at any time. We were evicted twice. They sent threatening Facebook messages to my husband about our young daughter: ‘She is so beautiful. I’m going to make her one of my brides.’ She was 4 or 5 years old.”

Strengthen Latifa and her family as they continue to face pressure and persecution for their faith by sending your letter to [email protected].
