As jy wil weet hoe vervolging iemand se geloof kan verwoes, ontmoet vir Baher.<\/p>\n

\u201cEk het myself gehaat en ek het vir God gehaat,\u201d<\/em> het hierdie jong Egiptiese Christen ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n

Baher* het op 13 ophou skoolgaan omdat sy familie te arm was en beroepsopsies beperk was as gevolg van hul geloof. Baher het geweet dat die steengroef gevaarlik is, maar hy het geen ander keuse gehad as om saam met ander vervolgde gelowiges by een van die gevaarlikste steengroewe in Bo-Egipte te begin werk nie.<\/p>\n

Sy grootste vrese het hom ingehaal: Binne \u0149 week, het Baher sy arm verloor in \u0149 afgryslike ongeluk, en kort daarna is sy broer by die werk dood.<\/p>\n

Intense en nimmereindigende vervolging het Baher se geloof verwoes, en hy het sy rug op God gedraai. Hy is egter nie die enigste een nie. Regoor Egipte en die Midde-Ooste ontneem vervolging \u0149 hele generasie van hul hoop en bestaansdoelwitte.<\/p>\n

Die toekoms vir jongmense in die Kerk lyk wanhopig, maar jy kan dit verander.<\/em><\/p>\n

Te danke aan ondersteuning van mense soos jy, het Baher die bystand ontvang wat vir hom \u0149 beter toekoms sal help bou. \u0149 Mikrolening beteken dat hy \u0149 nuwe besigheid kon begin. Dit het sy geloof versterk en ook beteken dat hy in sy tuisland kan bly om dit Kerk aan die lewend te hou.<\/p>\n

\u201cEk het God vir my familie se trauma blameer, maar jy het ons ondersteun,<\/em>\u201d het Baher ges\u00ea. \u201cNou is ons dankbaar. As julle my nie ondersteun het nie, sou ek nie verander het nie. Julle het my moral gelig en my verhouding met God herstel.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nou het ander jongmense in die Midde-Ooste \u2013 insluitend die wat steeds in Egipte se steengroefmyne werk \u2013 jou ondersteuning en gebede bitter nodig.<\/p>\n
