Honderde mense het in die kerk se binnehof gestaan en wag om te sien hoe mense gedoop word toe \u0149 bom deur die kerk geruk het \u2013 wat 20 aanbidders doodgemaak en 17 beseer het.<\/p>\n<p>Maar slegs \u0149 week n\u00e1 die bomaanval het die CEPAC-kerk in die oostelike streek van die Demokratiese Republiek van die Kongo (DRK) weer bymekaargekom \u2013 wat ons \u0149 prentjie gee van die moedige veerkragtigheid van die Kerk in sub-Sahara Afrika. Die lede van hierdie kerk in die dorp Kasindi het geweier om toe te laat dat hul geloof wankel. In plaas daarvan het hulle bymekaargekom vir aanbidding deur sang en danse, en het hulle God bedank vir Sy beskerming en genade deur hierdie kragtige woorde:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>U het toegelaat dat ons aangeval word<\/p>\n<p>U het ons geloof versterk<\/p>\n<p>Ons vind dat ons in U teenwoordigheid vorentoe beweeg, HERE<\/p>\n<p>U het ons net na \u0149 ho\u00ebr vlak geneem \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Die Islamitiese Staat-groep het \u0149 paar dae n\u00e1 die bomaanval aanspreeklikheid daarvoor aanvaar. Ekstremiste se pogings om die Kerk in sub-Sahara Afrika te verlam en uit te roei, bereik \u0149 keerpunt omdat Christelike bevolkings sukkel om te oorleef te midde van die toenemende geweld en groeiende onsekerheid. Die Kerk word aangeval. Slegs in Nigeri\u00eb word \u0149 Christen elke twee ure weens hul geloof doodgemaak.<\/p>\n<p>Maar die lydende Kerk is ook veerkragtig en getrou, soos wat hierdie gemeente in die DRK wys.<\/p>\n<p>Getroue gelowiges soos hierdie aanbidders verseker dat die Evangelie uitgeleef word, selfs in die moeilikste omstandighede.
