The advancement of Islam and traditional religions in Africa place Christians in very difficult circumstances. The Church needs to be equipped to face these challenges, or else the battle for the hearts and minds of Africans will be lost. Your gifts enable Open Doors to train some of Africa's future Christian leaders and provide them with the tools they need to bring this continent to Christ. Your gifts will ensure that these new Christians have the Bibles and other Christian literature they need to grow in their faith and spread His Word to their communities!
How we help:

Testimony
Currently there are 93 students attending the Advanced Theological Course in Southern Sudan. Different tribes and different denominations gather as one, one in Christ. During the evenings they gather to bring praise to the Prince of Peace – the only One who can solve the various problems of Sudan. “We surrender …our lives… our tutors…our churches…unto you, o Lord.”
Some of these men have experienced horrifying incidents during the past few years. They can speak of general suffering due to the war between Northern and Southern Sudan, as well as persecution because of their commitment to the Truth. Some of them were beaten for their faith, others threatened with death. They can speak from firsthand experience about starvation, hatred and the horror of senseless killings. They know what it feels like to be struck down, as Paul wrote centuries ago.
Despite all the hardship they are willing to carry the torch of faith to the remote corners of their war-torn country. – Tutor, Theological training, Southern Sudan
