BIBLEGIVERS
Are you an athlete – running, swimming, hiking, rowing, cycling, etc. – with a passion and a love for the persecuted Church? Are you willing to partner with Open Doors in order to put a Bible in the hand of a persecuted believer in a closed country?How does it work?
- REGISTER FOR A RACE: Decide what race you want to take part in and register for it. (For example, if you are planning to participate in the Two Oceans Marathon, go to www.twooceansmarathon.org.za and register. You will receive a race number, which you will need in order to complete the next step.)
- REGISTER WITH OPEN DOORS: As soon as your Open Doors registration has been processed you will receive a sponsor number from us and a letter that you can give to potential sponsors.
- GET SPONSORSHIPS: Ask individuals and your church or cell group to sponsor you for the race. Sponsors will be able to donate money directly into the Open Doors bank account; the information will be provided on the letter we will send to you.
- PRACTISE FOR THE RACE: Practising is of course very important, but as you practise remember to work on those sponsorships!
- ENJOY THE RACE: Make a huge difference by racing for the persecuted Church.
